INTERSECT 2024 is an interdisciplinary symposium presenting the brightest minds in academia, research, industry, and policy-making. This year, we are excited to host the event at Stanford University, the birthplace of Silicon Valley and the epicenter of technological innovation, although most programs will run virtually on August 2nd, 2024. This year's theme is "Indonesia at the Crossroad of Technology, Sustainability, and Society", underscoring the urgent needs for collaborative effort to address the challenges and opportunities in Indonesia's sustainable development.

We invite academics, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to join us and synthesize robust policy recommendations and academic blueprints for Indonesian pathways to sustainable development. Our ultimate goal is to create a dynamic network that strengthens Indonesia's approach to practical, real-world challenges through technological and scientific innovation. We seek to foster collaborations that leverage advancements in technology and science to strengthen a sustainability-focused economy, underpinned by AI, robotics, and other technological breakthroughs.

Call for Submissions

We are seeking extended abstract or full-paper contributions that not only resonate with the theme but also extend the boundaries in sustainability, economic development, and technological innovation. The topics include, but are not limited to: Submissions will be reviewed by the program committees. The accepted papers will be published in the symposium proceedings and the authors are invited to present their work in the symposium remotely (synchronous). We will award the best (full) paper for each track and the best overall presentation.

We use OpenReview to handle submission processes. For more information about the submission, please visit the submission page.

Young Researcher Competition (For High School Students)
